Step2
Take a position near the front of the vehicle, whether it's a car, train or boat.
Step3
Face the direction you're headed to keep eye and body sensations in sync with each other.
Step4
Keep your eye trained on the horizon or on a fixed spot ahead of you.

Step7
Keep the window open and fresh air accessible at all times.

Tips & Warnings

  • Many over-the-counter remedies are successful in preventing motion sickness. Ask your pharmacist for recommendations.

on 6/11/2007 The present medicine expert on the one hand had bdlieved that the carsickness, seasickness, airsickness gets sick or motion sickness is caused by motion, but on the other hand had believed the definitive cause of that the motion sickness also do not know. Because this would not explain the no matter how motion can not caused carsickness, when the people by all these train, tnuck, motorcycle and tractor. Because, of the Infrasonic sound or the noise of low frequency is extremely small. But in reality all these carsickness, seasickness, airsickness gets sick or motion sickness caused by Infrasonic sound or the noise of low frequency. Of instance, (1) this would explain the no matter how motion can not caused carsickness, when the people by all these train, tnuck, motorcycle and tractor. Because, of the Infrasonic sound or the noise of low frequency is extremely small. (2) The Seasickness disease incidence rate is highest, too, The noise is biggest in speed boat of among all sorts of ships. (3) Airsickness disease incidence rate is highest, too, The noise is biggest in Jet of among all sorts of Planes. (4) The more human is hearing is poor, the more motion sickness is low incidence of illness, Of instance, The mon is low incidence of illness of motion sickness than woman, the man is inferior to the woman in hearing. (5) The old people is low incidence of illness of motion sickness than young, the old people is inferior to the young in hearing. (6)The deaf mute can not results in motion sickness, the deaf mute can not hear.
But it was most important to scientists had confirmed motion sickness is caused by Infrasonic sound or the noise of low frequency(reference: http://www.vibrostop.it/support/basic.html)
Moreover this theory about motion sickness is caused by all kinds of acceleration of different directions and size or Coriolis acceleration (,reference: http://www.remarkablemedicine.com/Clinical/clinicaluses/otherdisorders/motion.html),Overthrow Newton’s second law of motion.Because,Newton’s second law of motion says anly by calculate a man or an object is influenced by size of the resultant force can know a man or an object is influenced by the size of the in reality acceleration.of instance, the astronaut is affected by the Gravitation acceleration as well as the centrifugal force acceleration in space,But the in reality is affected by acceleration equal for zero.
So,this idea not only was a fraud but it was maximum jest in human scientific history.
They knew rendered violently nauseous noise of an airplane, they calling this a “conditioned reflex,"Their statement rather absurd.

on 11/22/2005 My husband says he can get sick on a damp lawn. We love to scuba dive, so we have discovered a few tips over time. Eating lightly before the dive is a good idea. Skip high-fat or acidic foods. Orange juice is not recommended. Fresh air helps, as does facing in the direction you are moving. Avoid stimuli like strong odors. Scopolamine patches (from his doctor) are the best thing he has ever tried. In the Drake passage he was on, he tried using the scopolamine, sea band wrist pressure, and ginger. He still threw up. Laying down and closing his eyes seems to help. Avoid reading, or anything else that needs your concentration. Trying to do embroidery is the worst, it even gets to me (and I don't get motion sickness). Dramamine and Bonine (which works better than Dramamine) make most people quite sleepy. The Scopolomine makes your throat dry. Also, try to come off of it slowly, or you might be in for a crashing headache. My husband used to remove the patch and wash his neck, and within 24 hours he was really suffering. Now, he just leaves it on longer than the 3 days (as directed). Sometimes he leaves it on for 5 or 6 days, and the dosage trails off with no problems.

on 11/22/2005 Those bracelets work, but sports-bands look SO much cooler and work just as well! There's no sewing involved, plus they come in lots of snazzy styles, and you can still retain that punk image!

on 11/22/2005 Keep your head up. Reading or even keeping your head down over a tray table during a bumpy flight can trigger nausea.
